The Place on Saint Croix

Looking out from balcony to ocean.

View of where they stayed.

I know I could handle being here a while.

They are home!

The bride and groom arrived home from Saint Croix yesterday evening. They had a wonderful honeymoon. Of course, the island was beautiful.

There is really no place like the Virgin Islands. IMO (See ending comment)

Roxanne was quite the story teller when we got back to my home. She even gave Stephen the opportunity to tell an event that happened.

They felt the prayers of those that said them. Thank you...you know who you are.

First off they left home and flew to San Juan. Non of the flights from San Juan were flying due to volcanic ash when they arrived. After several hours their flight was finally called for boarding. Flights to the other Virgin Island were cancelled. As far as they know their flight was the only one out that afternoon.

It wasn't until the last few days that they could see another island from their balcony due to the ash.

They told me they prayed real hard to get on to the honeymoon destination in Saint Croix. Spending the night with 3,000 passengers in the San Juan Airport did not sound like it would be fun.

First day about 100 feet out in the ocean they were on rafts paddling when they spotted a fin above the water line. Steve flipped off the raft and ran to shore while Roxanne paddled as fast as she could. She has a way of telling this story that makes me laugh. Hands flying and all the drama of the moment.

I'm glad they have such a wonderful honeymoon and they are back home safe and sound.

There is no place like home.

The Wedding

Last Sunday, May 21, 2006 my husband and I gave away our youngest daughter. The day was absolute beautiful and so was the bride. The wedding took place in a garden and it was exactly what our daughter Roxanne wanted.

I want to be able to share photos of the joyful events with friends, so hence the blog.
